The International Fair of Agricultural Techniques AGROTECH boasts the highest visitor attendance of all the events dedicated to this industry in Poland. In 2009, the record-breaking figures were recorded: 40,000 visitors, almost 500 exhibitors from 13 countries, 800 pieces of state-of-the-art farming machinery, 200 models of tractors, including the innovative solutions with solar energy being used as a fuel, and 40,000 square metres of exhibition space taken up for displaying it all.

AGROTECH is Europe's major fair dedicated to agricultural technology, in addition to being the largest event of this kind organized in Poland. It enjoys the high 4th position in the ranking of Polish exhibitions with the largest number of visitors, being surpassed in this respect only by the Poznań BUDMA and FARMA fairs, as well as by the International AIR SHOW, which is co-organized by Targi Kielce. Among our visitors are farmers from all over Poland and from neighbouring countries, suppliers, farming technology experts, agricultural attachés accredited to Poland, as well as agricultural school and university students.

The AGROTECH fair, the same as in previous years, will feature modern agricultural machinery and auxiliary equipment, e.g. all makes of tractors available on the Polish market and a vast array of machines to be displayed by domestic manufacturers and by dealers offering equipment developed and produced by foreign corporations. This fair provides an opportunity to become acquainted with a wide range for equipment for the farming industry. As compared with foreign exhibits, Polish products make a good impression, in addition to being competitive.

The popularity of the AGROTECH fair is also enhanced by the numerous launches and presentations of new market trends, which thus testifies to the amazing progress that has been made in agricultural technologies in recent years. Therefore it is not a coincidence that the AGROTECH fair is the venue for the annually held prestigious award ceremony - The Agricultural Machine of the Year. This award is given by the Institute of Building, Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture.

In addition to machinery being put on display, the Fair also offers training opportunities. The tradition of organizing special consultation desks for farmers will be followed also during the International Fair of Agricultural Techniques AGROTECH in 2010. Advice on EU subsidies will by provided by experts representing the Agency of Modernization and Restructuring of Agriculture. Visitors will be offered information relating to issues such as the new direct payment regulations, including payments for cattle, leguminous and papilionaceous crops. The experts will advise what kind of documents should be submitted to be granted a direct payment or to use subsidies allocated for modernization of farms. Moreover, information will be offered as to what criteria have to be met to use the amended programme Young Farmer.
The same as in previous years, AGROTECH will be held simultaneously with the Timber Industry & Forest Resources Management Fair LAS-EXPO.
